Makeup: Foundation

Makeup: Foundation
.
My passion on this platform is to educate and inspire others to look and feel beautiful inside out. I get a ton of requests regarding foundations so here is my take:
.
Skin first, makeup second! I think skin prep is super important when wanting to achieve a glowing makeup application. First use a serum and moisturize to boost hydration in your skin, prevent dullness, and to create a protective layer of moisture. Sometimes I add a pump of serum to my foundation if I’m feeling extra GLOWY
.
I really don’t love heavy or full coverage foundations. I probably wear foundation 2-3x a week. The new Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfection foundation from @lauramercier has a lighter consistency and has a sheer to medium coverage. It evens out my skin and gives my skin a luminescent glow. With this specific foundation, I use 1 1/2 pumps which is more than enough. Using a DAMP beauty blender, I evenly tap (not wipe, V important) all over until it covers the areas I want smoother. Blot the blender onto your skin until you reached your desired coverage.
.
This gives no cakey appearance, no dryness, and is long lasting. You all know I love a good dewy skin situation. .
AG Notes:
- Remember that glass bottles and jars can be recycled if you rinse them!
- Check the expiration dates on your makeup and if the formula has separated or changed color/scent
- Clean your beauty blender before EVERY USE. I use a non-fragrant bar of soap, run it under warm water and rub it clean until the water runs clear.

What is the 1 foundation you can’t live without? Let me know in the comments, so I can do a review on it! x
