All about CONCEALER

Morning Makeup Chat: CONCEALERS
.
You can invest in the best concealer in the world but what good use is it, if you don’t know how to apply it? I believe less is more, especially when using concealer to cover up any darkness around the eyes. Here are some of my tips:
.
- Prep your eyes first with a gentle eye cream and a light under eye facial massage, you can use your hands, cold jade roller, or gua ha to help drain any puffiness
.
- Use a tiny DAB of your concealer (smaller than a dime size for sure)
.
- Use your fingers or a super tiny brush to precisely tap concealer into the inner corners of your eyes, you can blend out by tapping with your fingers or a blending brush gently around the under eye area but avoid putting product directly under your eyes to avoid creasing or “heaviness”
.
- If you feel like the concealer looks too cakey or you can see your fine lines and crows feet more than you'd like, I suggest taking a dab of Hyaluronic acid or a serum and tapping it over the concealer to give your eyes hydration and thin out the concealer with moisture
.
- Notice I keep saying pat it in and not to rub, if you rub your concealer you won’t get the coverage you desire and it will crease
.
Apply your tinted moisturize, CC cream, or foundation before your concealer, use your hands or a damp beauty blender
.
Avoid putting concealer on on the outer corners of your eyes and past your smile lines to avoid enhancing fine lines
.
Combat any darkness (which hides in the corners of your eyes) using a peach toned color to balance out any blue/green darkness
.
Don’t keep your concealer past it’s expiration date because they can oxidize, break down, separate, and in return it will become discolored or too thick
.
Other tips for brightening your eyes:
.
- I love a nude pencil in the water line
.
- Eye drops to get rid of redness
.
- An eyelash curler to lift your lashes
.
- A highliter in the dab of the inner corners of your eyes to brighten
.
- Brush your brows upwards to create a lift
